There is usually a reason today feels the way it does.
Samana helps you understand the patterns behind your energy, sleep, appetite, mood, skin, symptoms, and cycle.
There may be a reason today feels heavier: late luteal phase, shorter sleep, and a later evening than usual. Want to look at the pattern?
You may be in the late luteal phase. Some people notice shifts in sleep, appetite, mood, skin, or bloating during this window.
Insight confidence: light
Based on 2 cycle logs, 4 sleep nights, and 1 symptom note.
Body load looks higher than usual today. Sleep was shorter than your baseline and HRV is lower than usual. A gentler pace may feel better.
Last night: 5h 58m, a little under your usual. Wind-down started later than most nights.
Why Samana exists
Sleep in one app. Your cycle in another. Workouts on your wrist, labs buried in PDF attachments, symptoms scribbled in your notes. You have been collecting health data for years, scattered across services that never talk to each other.
Samana brings those pieces into one place and turns them into: understanding.
Sleep, cycle, food, stress, and notes get read together, the way your body actually works.
Every insight names its sources and carries a confidence label, so you know how much weight to give it.
No streaks, no scores on you, no red mornings. Add context when it helps; skip it when it does not.
You decide what to share, you can see what gets used, and deletion means deletion.
Meet Sami
Sami helps with ordinary life: planning a day, preparing for a trip, thinking through a rough week. When you choose to share health context, Sami uses it carefully: sleep, cycle, symptoms, stress, food, notes, travel, and wearable trends.
A generic assistant answers the question. Sami answers it knowing your context, so “Why am I so tired this week?” gets an answer about your week, not a generic list.
We call the mechanic Context Layering. Add a note, a night of sleep, a cycle date. Each layer makes the picture clearer. Add nothing for a month and Sami still helps.
“You do not have to track everything. Share what feels useful, and I’ll work with that.”Sami
The experience
The Today Surface brings together the context that may matter right now: time, weather, location, sleep, body load, cycle phase if you track it, and one gentle prompt from Sami. Nothing on the screen demands more logging.
Across your last five cycles, sleep tends to get shorter and lighter in this window, especially when your evening runs later than usual or alcohol is logged.
Insight confidence: stronger
Based on 5 cycle windows, wearable sleep data, and repeated symptom notes.
Work deadline made it hard to wind down. Ate late and felt wired past midnight.

Sleep tends to get shorter and lighter in the days before your period.

What is different
Ask why your sleep changed or why your body feels off. Sami can show the sources behind the answer: sleep data, cycle timing, symptom notes, prior patterns. When the signal is weak, Sami says that too.
Ask anytime: “What did you use to tell me that?”Samana is not an AI chatbot with a wellness skin. The system is designed to use the right amount of reasoning for each question, ground health answers in your actual data, and avoid turning every question into a medical answer.
Biometric locks on your most personal spaces. See what context is used, turn sources off, exclude entries, or delete data. And deletion means deletion.
Principles
We will never sell your data, and you decide what to share. Connect a wearable, import cycle history, upload labs, write a note, or none of it. More context makes Samana more specific. It is never an obligation.
Samana may call an insight light or stronger based on the context available. That label belongs to the insight, never to you, your body, or your effort.
It does not diagnose or prescribe. What it does instead: helps you notice patterns, prepare better questions, and organize context for your clinician, so you walk into appointments ready.
The company
Samana is a private wellness companion for people, starting with women, whose health questions do not fit neatly into one category. Sleep, cycle, stress, food, symptoms, skin, medications, supplements, and life events overlap. Samana is built to make that overlap understandable.
The bet is simple: people do not need another app that scores them. They need a companion that helps them understand patterns, respects privacy, and can show the context behind its answers.
We are building toward a private beta, then a careful launch. Right now we are speaking with advisors, partners, and a small number of future teammates.
If that is you, write to hello@asksamana.com and tell us what you would want to build, test, or support with us.
